Bleacher Report pieced together a roundup of Chicago-area properties purchased by Cubs players. Here are a couple of highlights:
Ryan Dempster owns two mansions near Wrigley Field—one is listed for $1.9 million—and a nearby condominium. Reliever Jeff Samardzija paid $710,000 in 2008 for a condo in the Southport Corridor.
Kosuke Fukudome paid $1.44 million last year for a Streeterville condo and Alfonso Soriano paid $2.65 million in 2006 for a condo in Streeterville.
Aramis Ramirez owns a condo on the Gold Coast he bought in 2005 for $937,500 and Kerry Wood owns a mansion in Lincoln Park he bought through a bank trust in 2008 for $3.32 million.
