Ald. Thomas Tunney introduced ordinances today to allow Wrigley Field to host concerts on July 31 and Aug. 1, though no band has yet reached agreement with the Cubs organization to perform there.
Paul McCartney has been discussed as a potential artist to play at the North Side ballpark, Tunney said. But the 44th Ward alderman said he couldn’t wait for an agreement to be finalized before getting the ball rolling on holding extra night time events there.
