Uncommon Ground taps into Chicago's hot folk scene

Did you know March marks a mini revival in folk music, thanks to Irish folk bands being in higher demand? Tracy Swartz wrote about Chicago’s growing folk music scene in today’s RedEye.

Lucky for Wrigleyville residents, they can catch quality folk tunes in their neighborhood at Uncommon Ground, 3800 N. Clark Street.

The Lakeview café with a rooftop garden is a hotspot for folk singer-songwriters and open mic nights. It hosts Americana singer-songwriter P.J. Pacifico of Connecticut on Friday and Chicago folk-blues artist Matt Crews on March 29.
