Village Wash (Christine Harrell photo for RedEye)
I was so engrossed in journaling while at the laundromat today (a blogger journaling? surprise surprise), that I didn’t even notice someone open the dryers and throw gifts inside. Nor did I hear anyone drop a napkin in the sack right behind me.
In both my dryers were fabric things with little sayings.
The laundromat elves left fabric in other people’s dryers too.
Even though I left the fabric on the counter instead of taking them home, I appreciate the gifts just the same. I have no use for them, and figured I would let someone else take them who wouldn’t just stuff them at the bottom of a junk drawer.
So whoever and wherever you elves are, thank you for putting a smile on my face. Laundry was less of a drudgery today!
