FACT: Lincoln Park is home to some of Chicago’s most talented and well-established designers. Oscar Design Challenge Winner, Borris Powell‘s boutique is located at Fullerton and Halsted, and Miriam Cecilia Carlson has studio where patrons can shop until they drop. It goes without saying that these 2 designers definitely have a hand in producing one of Chicago’s most fashionable neighborhoods.
On Tuesday night, I damn near had a heart attack witnessing the Chicago Fashion Incubator runway show presented by Macy’s. With more than 15 designers-in-residence and alumni, I was beyond amazed at some of the Spring/Summer ’12 trends. Designers Anna Hovet, Agga B. Raya, Crystal B. Designs, and a smokin’ hot men’s collection by Eric Kipp deserve a standing ovation.
