What to see this weekend in the LV

"Carnage" this weekend at Landmark. How can you not? Image:

Staring down the prospect of a three-day weekend with way too many film choices? Never fear, I’ll narrow it down for you! Below are my personal picks of what’s playing in Lakeview:

At Landmark Century Centre Cinema (2828 N. Clark):

“Carnage”: four neurotic parents pick apart a playground fight. All star cast (Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz, John C. Reilly and Jodie Foster) directed by Roman Polanski. Sold, sold and SOLD.

“My Week With Marilyn”: Michelle Williams is a vision in blonde breathy bombshell in the title role. Click here to read my review!

“The Artist”: silent black and white with enviable hats, tap dancing and the cutest Jack Russell terrier ever. Love.

At Music Box Theatre (3733 N. Southport):

“Alien”: the director’s cut of this sci-fi classic screens at midnight tonight and tomorrow. Hold on to your stomach!

“Outrage”: I’m hearing nothing but huge praise for Takeshi Kitano’s riveting crime drama.

“It is Fine. Everything is Fine!”: Co-directed by Crispin Glover. That’s really all you need to know.

Happy Friday from the Film Femme!
