Oh Mr. Bones, that's terrible! "White Christmas" plays at Music Box through Dec. 24. Image: cocktails365.net
Two of my life philosophies: “no man is a failure who has friends” and “the best things happen while you’re dancing.”
Both of these are illustrated in fabulous Technicolor at the 28th Annual Music Box Christmas Show, running through December 24 at Music Box Theatre (3733 N. Southport).
This year’s Christmas show features the holiday classics “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “White Christmas.” Tickets start at $12 for a single feature and $14 for the double feature. Not a bad option if you need to get your relatives out of your apartment for a few hours. It’s hard to butt heads on politics when you’re watching Bing Crosby tap dance with Danny Kaye, or Jimmy Stewart blurt “Claarence!” or “Maaary!” in the way only Jimmy Stewart can.
Though I wouldn’t want to wash my hair in Chicago snow. Sorry, Rosemary Clooney.
