While trapeze swinging skills might not be something you’d immediately think of adding to your resume, there’s always clown school should your nine-to-five fail.
Trapeze School New York has set up shop for the summer right along lakeshore and is offering swinging classes to anyone with an interest in heights, adventure or honing impractical skills.
While there’s no elephant or bearded lady (damn), the large set-up includes staff, instructors and luckily, a net.
For a look at a model of the set up, check out this TSNY commercial. Don’t pay attention to the incredibly fit woman who has always dreamed of flying – focus on the equipment.
The TSNY brochure encourages birthday parties and corporate groups to rent out the space for the afternoon and promises instructors, activities and photos with the package. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would pay to see a few of my colleagues swing from great heights?
The set-up is located at Belmont Harbor adjacent to the parking lot. The location can be found on a map by entering 3158 Lakefront Trail.
Single outdoor classes are $47/morning and $57/night Monday through Friday and $65 during the weekend and on holidays.
The classes are two hours and offered every day or long-term classes that last well into the summer.
