Two women pepper sprayed, robbed
June 1, 3:45 a.m.
A 21-year-old and 19-year-old female were attacked and robbed at Halsted Street and Aldine Avenue, according to reports. The victims told police they were walking home from the “L” when two unknown males pushed them down to the ground and maced them in the face before grabbing their handbags. Both victims were treated at the scene. No arrests.
Man robbed in mob-style attack
June 2, 2 a.m.
A 24-year-old male was attacked and robbed at Belmont Avenue and Clark Street, according to reports. The victim told police he was approached by five or six unknown males who demanded his gold chain necklace and started beating him when he refused. The offenders ripped the necklace from his neck and took his wallet containing $100 in cash, police say. No arrests.
Woman pepper sprayed, robbed, beaten
June 3, 2:10 a.m.
A 19-year-old female was attacked and robbed while entering her apartment at Broadway and Buckingham Place, according to reports. The victim told police she was pushed to the ground of her apartment lobby by two unknown males and sprayed in the face with mace. The offenders reportedly beat her on the ground as they took her handbag and iPhone. The victim was treated at the scene. No arrests.

June 3, 3:10 a.m.
A 25-year-old male was attacked and robbed while walking at Aldine and Halsted streets, according to reports. The victim told police he was approached by two unknown males who maced him in the face and then took his iPhone and wallet from his pockets. Police say the victim, unable to see, stumbled around for 25 minutes trying to find someone to call 911. The victim was treated at the scene. No arrests.
Man attacked with high heel to the head
June 3, 11:55 p.m.
Police arrested a 32-year-old male and charged him with battery after he attacked a 49-year-old male with the heel of his high-heeled shoe at Halsted Street and Buckingham Place, according to reports. The victim told police he bumped into the offender and they got into a verbal altercation before the offender took off his high-heeled shoe to strike him in the back of the head, causing a laceration. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
