Our friends at Metromix Chicago have some BIG neighborhood dining news! And check out our recent State of the Wards feature about other plans for the Wicker Park area.

Mark Steur (previously of The Gage, Hot Chocolate) recently announced new venture The Bedford via Twitter, where its described as a neighborhood bar and restaurant “serving elevated Midwestern fare with a carefully crafted cocktail list, locally sourced beer and boutique wines.” Located in the basement of the massive building at Ashland, Division and Milwaukee that formerly housed MB Financial Bank, contractor Summit Design + Build reports that the bank’s former vault (complete with safety deposit boxes) will serve as the restaurant’s lounge.
