It’s hard to imagine, but next year’s Chicago Gay Pride Parade might be a little tamer than the parades of previous years:

Chicago is making changes to the Gay Pride Parade in hopes of cutting down on drinking and increasing safety.

Attendance at the Gay Pride Parade has doubled over the last three years, to about 800,000 people. The first Chicago Gay Pride Parade in 1970 drew about 250 participants and spectators, according to Chicago Pride, an organizer of the event.
